The Mikey Network was established in 2003 by Heathwood Homes and Herity, in memory of our dear friend and partner Mike Salem, who died of cardiac arrest.
Since then, with the help of dedicated volunteers and community partners, The Mikey Network has grown beyond our wildest hopes. We have placed over 2500 MIKEYs and more than 40 lives have been saved with MIKEYs we have placed!
The Mikey Network’s Mission
The Mikey Network is dedicated to creating public awareness and providing education about heart healthy lifestyles. We are committed to placing “MIKEYS” (public access defibrillators) in as many high-risk locations as possible, so people affected by sudden cardiac arrest might have a second chance at life.
Through The Mikey Network, the Beat Goes On.

WHAT IS A MIKEY?
A MIKEY is an automated external defibrillator (AED). “Defibrillator” can be hard to say, and harder to spell, so we call them MIKEYs 🙂
These amazing devices can be used to bring a lifesaving shock to a victim of Sudden Cardiac Arrest potentially saving their life before emergency services personnel can arrive.
Time is of the essence in the case of Sudden Cardiac Arrest, and with a MIKEY at hand, people can assist in those first few crucial minutes.

MIKEY AED & CPR APP
Knowing CPR and how to use a MIKEY defibrillator are important life-saving skills that you can learn with the FREE Mikey AED & CPR APP. Help spread the word and encourage your family, friends, co-workers and other members of your community to download the app too. It’s also a great refresher course for those who already know the basics, and will help you be ready to give someone a second chance at life.
